Emergency Certificate

Emergency certificate is issued to Indian nationals in certain circumstances, to enable them to return to India.

Steps to apply for Emergency Certificate

Apply Online at   https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in

PROCEDURE:
Step 1: 
Go to website given above. Select country – Serbia. Create USER ID by Click on Register. Link will be sent to your email.

Step 2:
Click on the link received in email. Activate USER ID.

Step 3: 
Go on Website Home page. Click at USER LOGIN. Fill Login ID, Password and Captcha.

Step 4: 
Select Country, Select Service (Emergency Certificate), and fill all the details. Submit Application. Note down ARN No. 

Step 5: 
Go to Website Home page. Print Application. Affix your recent colour passport size  photograph (white background) at the designated place. Put Signature on the Application. 

Step 6: 
Submit the printout of the application along with required documents and prescribed fee at the Embassy of India, Đorđa Radojlovića 7a, Beograd 11040 during 09:00 to 12:00 hrs on any working day. 

DOCUMENTS for EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE:
Self attested photocopies of the following documents need to be submitted along with the application form:

(i) Self attested copy of Current Passport (both front and back page)
(ii) Passport Size Photo (3)
(iii) Prescribed Fee (1700 RSD + 300 RSD (ICWF))
(iv) Police Report/FIR in case of Lost Passport and written application

PROCESSING TIME:

If application is complete in all aspects, issuance of Emergency Certificate usually takes 2 working days from the date of submission in Embassy.             

COLLECTION OF EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE

Emergency certificate may be collected from the Embassy, after 2 working days. Please bring receipt for collection of Emergency Certificate.
