ITEC Programme

ITEC Scholarship

The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme of Government of India was extended to the Republic of Serbia in 2008. As in the past, the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, has offered several short-duration training courses in wide-ranging fields such as accounting, audit, banking & finance, agriculture, food & fertilizers, engineering & technology, environment, climate change and renewable energy, IT, telecommunication, English language, SME & rural development, management courses and other specialized courses under the Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme in 2024 for the Nationals of the Republic of Serbia. Information about the institutions and training courses offered under the ITEC Programme are also available on the Website: www.itecgoi.inbullet.

Under the ITEC Programme, all expenditure, including the international air passages, boarding and lodging, internal transport, etc. in respect of the selected candidates are borne by the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. Eligible Serbian candidates are welcome to apply for various training courses available under the ITEC Programme 2024-25.

Candidates, who can apply, are employees/officials in Government, Semi-Government, Public Sector, Universities/ Schools, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Private Sector. The applicants should be in the age group of 25-45 years, should possess working knowledge of English and fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the concerned Institute for the course in question.

Application Procedure

All applications are required to be filled in by the applicants themselves online at the “Apply for ITEC”link at the website: https://www.itecgoi.in/upcoming_courses The applicants can choose their own login email ID and create their login password, which would be used by the system to keep them posted of the processing status. The application should be filled in carefully with correct information and no column should be left incomplete/blank. Submission of an Undertaking by the candidate, Medical Certificate, English Proficiency Certificate and Certification from the Employer (Part-II of the Application Form) is mandatory. After a candidate has applied for a course ’online’, he/she must take a printout of the application.

In case of officials of the Government of Serbia, print out of the application form along with all relevant documents are required to be submitted to:

European Integration Office will, in turn, forward the applications to the Embassy of India in Belgrade.

In case of applicants from the private sector, Chambers of Commerce, NGOs, etc., the duly filled in applications along with all relevant documents should be submitted directly to:

Who can apply?

Government officials, employees of Public and Private Sectors, Universities, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, etc. However if a candidate has already attended a course sponsored by Government of India, he/she is not eligible for ITEC courses.

Eligibility criteria for admission to the Courses:

Academic qualifications/ work experience as prescribed by the Institute for the individual course.

Working knowledge of English is necessary to undertake the course.

Age of the applicants should be between 25 and 45 years.

Application should be medically fit to undertake the training (Certificate from a Government approved Doctor).

General Information:

Duly filled in Applications along with all relevant documents for the courses commencing during April- June 2024 should be submitted to the Embassy of India, Belgrade at the earliest. Applications for the courses commencing during July 2024 - September 2024 may preferably be submitted to the Embassy three months in advance from the commencement of the course.

Upon selection, the Embassy of India will inform the Ministry of European Integration and the candidate [in respect of Government officials] and the concerned organization and the candidate [in respect of others].

Selected candidates are required to familiarize themselves fully with the living conditions in India and about the Institute through the Institute's website.

Final decision regarding acceptance of applications/nominations rests solely with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
