59th International Belgrade Book Fair 2014
[26 October - 02 November 2014]

In collaboration with “Incredible India”, Indian Embassy will participate for the second time in the forthcoming 59th International Belgrade Book Fair from 26 October - 02 November 2014 (1000 hrs. to 2100 hrs. daily). The eight days' event would be held at the Belgrade Fair, Bulevar Vojvode Misica 14, Belgrade.

Indian Stall is in Hall 2A having an area of approx. 68 sq. mtr. to represent India Tourism Office, Frankfurt. The space will be used to promote Incredible India and to exhibit Digital Prints of Artwork by Tagore, books relating to India & Indian products as well as for audio/visual presentation on India & Indian books etc. During the event, Embassy will also organise round table conference and workshop for experts, journalists and the interested audience. The following events have been planned during the event:

i)

26th October 2014, 1200 hrs.

Inauguration by Ambassador of India of the Indian Booth. Inauguration of the Exhibition - Digital Prints of Artwork by Tagore. Promotion of the book “Tagore’s Selected Works”. Lecture by Prof. Dr. Dusan Pajin on Rabindranath Tagore. Promotion of Incredible India.

ii)

27th October 2014, 1100 hrs.

Promotion of the book 'The Inventor' written by Mr. Rave Mehta regarding Nikola Tesla and address by Mr. Aleksandar Protic, Tesla Global Forum Scientific Director, Tesla Memory Project Director about Tesla, the book & the writer.

iii)

28th October 2014, 1100 hrs.

Promotion of the book “Yoga - Spirit and Body" in Serbian language written by Prof. Dr. Dusan Pajin.

iv)

29th October 2014, 1100 hrs.

Promotion of the book 'Indian Theatre - Tradition and Activism' in Serbian language by Dr. Milena Dragicevic Sesic

v)

31st October 2014
1100 hrs.

Promotion of children books by 'Amar Chitra Katha' and by 'National Book Trust'.

The Embassy would like to acknowledge the contribution of books from the Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the National Book Trust (NBT) of India. NBT India is an apex body established by the Government of India in the year 1957 to provide good quality literature at low prices to the citizen of the country and to promote reading habits.
